Lin & Lo Mineral Makeup Review
Lin & Lo are what happens when 2 international make-up artists, Alina and Laura who’s families are heavily involved in the beauty industry see a gap in the market for a high-end affordable mineral make up brand! It is with this enriched beauty background and make up know how that has enabled the Lin&Lo make-up brand to combine the highest standards of purity and is enriched in mineral ingredients.
The brand is Paraben free, Cruelty-free (no animal testing) and most importantly, perfect for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
Here at London Makeup School HQ we were lucky enough to be sent a few pieces from their collection to try and test out professionally and personally!
I like the idea of Mineral make up and there are so many PRO’s for using it professionally and personally but I have never found one I particularly liked until now!
I tried the Moisturising Liquid Foundation (£29) and Moisturising Liquid Concealer (£19) for my base. They gave long lasting flawless coverage without feeling heavy or tacky like some of my other bases do!
The Mineral Blush (£21) in Rose Petal was brightening and fresh looking, perfect as we are finally moving into Spring 😉
The Eyeshadow Palettes (£35.50) are the best as they come in trios so I use 2 shades for my day look and darkened my eyes with the third shade for evening, the compact is slick looking and lightweight so perfect to be carried around!
The Mascara (£22) was an instant hit as it’s not too heavy or clumpy and I can build up my look with a few applications and my lashes didn’t do their usually spiky thing when I have too much product on!
To finish my look, I have the Contour Lip Pencil (£15) and the Matt Lipstick (£19) in Rubis which go on perfectly, both consistently creamy yet matt in finish, long lasting but not drying!
All in all, I have thoroughly enjoyed testing out these products as I have finally found a Mineral make up brand that I can get on with and appreciate! The products are long lasting and made with the highest quality of ingredients so the pigments are on point which means you use less and everything lasts longer!
I have tried these products out professionally too on a photo shoot and they worked just as well, in fact the model tried to “borrow” my lipstick!!
As professionals, we have to consider cruelty free long lasting products made with good quality natural ingredients so they can suit all our clients skin even the most sensitive of ones.
It’s evident that mineral make-up is the healthiest way to achieve a perfect look.
